This approach fosters long-term economic stability, reducing dependency on external aid and nurturing a sense of self-sufficiency and pride within the community.
Empowering tribes & women via creativity & entrepreneurship
In Chandrapur’s Adivasi pada, a quiet revolution emerged through the “Tribalight” initiative by Krushi Vikas va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha. Village women, skilled in bamboo crafts and weaving, transformed their traditional skills into marketable products. Workshops taught branding, quality control, and packaging, enabling them to adapt designs for modern markets while preserving heritage.
Women created organic turmeric powder and artisanal crafts, reaching city markets and gaining widespread appreciation. The initiative brought income, better education, improved healthcare, and a sense of pride. Chandrapur’s Adivasi pada transformed into a beacon of creativity, resilience, and empowerment.
